Event:

Biology of Genomes 2022: Oxford Nanopore Technologies seminar

Date: Wednesday May 11th
Time: Following the morning session

Please join us for an exciting opportunity to hear from two scientists who will present on their research using Oxford Nanopore Technologies’ PromethION to characterize large genomes.

Our first speaker, Ariel Gershman, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine PhD Candidate, BCMB, will present her recent research on the ruby-throated hummingbird. Our second speaker Dr. John E. Gorzynski, DVM PhD Stanford University, will present on his recent work to perform whole genome sequencing of NICU patients using a novel approach with the PromethION device that resulted in the fastest sequencing of a human genome (a Guiness World Record).

This seminar is free to attend, but registration is required (Nb. this seminar is only open to attendees of the Biology of Genomes conference).
