Oxford Nanopore Technologies has developed a novel DNA/RNA sequencing technology that is accessible and easy to use.

Nanopore sequencing technology is being used in the fields of biological research, healthcare, agriculture, food & water surveillance, and education. To demonstrate the accessibility of this portable and affordable technology we have organised a series of training events across the continent of Africa.

At Pore Safari, Kinshasa 2019 participants will learn how Nanopore Sequencing works, gain an understanding of how Nanopore Sequencing can be used for biological discovery, perform a sequencing experiment generating real sequence data, and receive an introduction to data analysis and informatics.

Each participant will attend a one-day practical course, select which day you wish to attend below. The agenda is yet to be confirmed.
